So here I am in Helsinki and hoping to get my working visa fixed during this week. This is a interesting looking window at Iso-Roobertinkatu – a travel agent selling trips also to Russia. Visa is needed when traveling to Russia and probably easiest and cheapest way to get a tourist visa (for Finns at least) is to go to RUStravel (http://www.rustravel.fi). It will take 6–8 working days to get it and you need passport size photo, filled visa application and travel insurance certificate (your insurance company will send this to you). Not very complicated compared to this working visa process... One thing you need to do after arriving to Russia is registration. It is needed if you stay longer that three working days (travel days are counted too). Normally registration is been taken care by your hotel staff but if you are not staying in hotel, you need to go to this office yourself and it will take some time. More updated information about visas and registration can be found from: http://www.visahouse.ru. Even if it seems little bit complicated with the visa process, your should still do this trip – it will be amazing!
